Kevin Dodd – Defensive End – Clemson

Although somewhat unknown because of his counterpart Shaq Lawson, Kevin Dodd could add much needed talent to this defensive line for the Titans. Behind Lawson, Dodd led Clemson in tackles for loss and sacks in the 2015 season.

His athletic ability seems to be there. At six five, 277 pounds, this guy can still move. He clocked a 4.83 forty and is quick within twenty yards, at 2.84. He proved he could get by most players in the ACC, but he has to prove that he can do that at the next level.

He has what defensive ends need, though. Dodd has a motor that doesn’t quit until the whistle blows. He can shut down the rush to the edge as well as get by tackles and guards with his initial quickness. Although he has pretty good quickness, he needs to work on using his hands technically. And while he can get by a lot of lineman with speed, he needs to work on powering offensive lineman out of the way.

However, he should go early in the second round, if not earlier, solely based on his athletic ability and size. He could grow into a great defender in the NFL much like he did when he was at Clemson. He has the drive that the Titans need.
