13. . QB. Oregon. Dan Fouts. 3. player

Dan Fouts played in San Diego for fifteen years and was one of the best in the league during his time. He came into the Chargers organization in the 1973 draft. Although he was picked in the third round, he turned out to be a great player for the Chargers.

He had a run in the 1979-1981 seasons when he threw for over 4,000 yards in each season. He had six pro bowl appearances to compliment his 43,040 total yards throughout his career. Fouts had 254 touchdowns and he was inducted into Hall of Fame in 1993.

Despite these great achievements, Fouts and the San Diego Chargers in the 70s and 80s never went to one Super Bowl. He led them to be a good team but he and the Chargers never took that next step in getting to the Super Bowl.

Fouts started and finished his solid career in San Diego in 1987, and in his final season, he threw for over 3,000 yards, quite an accomplishment at the age of 35.
