High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (4,900): KCP was definitely hitting his shots in Game One as were most of the Pistons perimeter threats.  He scored 21 points in his 38 minutes for 30 fantasy points.  He didn’t have great non-scoring numbers with just two boards and three assists, but he will be on the floor and very involved once again tonight as the Pistons try to steal a game in Cleveland.

J.R. Smith-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,400): Smith had a solid Game One against KCP and company scoring just nine points but adding three boards, three assists, and two steals in his 35 minutes for 22.25 fantasy points. Smith can definitely pile up points if he gets his shot going and can be counted on for over 30 minutes per night in the current Cavaliers rotation. Smith is a very nice play at under 5K with a high ceiling tonight.∗∗

Josh Richardson-Miami Heat (3,800): Miami’s backcourt depth is basically just Richardson which is why he logged 35 minutes against the Hornets in Game One.  If tonight’s game is closer, he could play fewer minutes, but he’s obviously a big part of the rotation and will get his chances to produce.  Richardson totaled 21.25 fantasy points in Game One, and he could do even better in Game Two depending on how involved he needs to be offensively.

Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (3,300): Another cheap SG play to consider for tonight is Clippers’ backup Austin Rivers who has scored in double-digits in six of his last eight games including 11 points in 18 minutes in Game One.  He had 16.75 fantasy points in that contest, and he does usually get to play an expanded role if the game turns one-sided.∗∗
