Cincinnati Bengals – Anthony Munoz (No. 3 pick, 1980)

If you want to take a deep look at the Bengals when it comes to draft history, it is probably fair to consider wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh for this honor. Houshmandzadeh was drafted with the 204th pick in the 2001 NFL Draft, and he was a Pro Bowl-level player during a portion of his time in Cincinnati. However, trying to compare T.J. Houshmandzadeh to Anthony Munoz is probably a fruitless exercise.

Munoz is considered by many to be one of the best offensive tackles in the history of the NFL, and not even a top-three investment can deter him from being the choice here. He was named to 11 Pro Bowls during his time with the Bengals, dominating the competition on a regular basis with brute strength and flawless technique, and Munoz was a no-doubt inclusion when his career ended as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In case you were wondering, Anthony Munoz would also be an easy choice for the greatest player in the history of the Bengals franchise, but considering they pulled the trigger on him in the draft, he works in both categories.
