Fantasy baseball streaming pitchers: April 21, 2016
2. Rich Hill-Oakland Athletics
The A’s have won four in a row and are looking to close out their three-game sweep of the Yankees in the Bronx. Even in Yankee Stadium, the New York bats have been quiet lately including last night against my streaming success Kendall Graveman.
Tonight, it’s Rich Hill’s turn to take the mound as he makes his fourth start of the year. So far, he has gone 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA and a 1.69 WHIP. However, there’s one reason to give Hill a look tonight–his strikeout numbers. Hill has picked up 19 K’s in just 13 innings this year, and he did have an awesome outing in Seattle where he allowed just one run on five hits in six innings while striking out ten.
His strikeout potential gives him the highest ceiling of my fantasy baseball streaming pitchers for today, but he has allowed a lot of contact in his other two starts of the season so there is risk of him getting knocked around as well. He’s a boom-or-bust play, but he’s available in 90% of ESPN leagues, so he’s worth a look especially if you’re in search of strikeouts.
