4. Orlando Pace

In 1997, the then St. Louis Rams had the No. 1 overall pick in the draft. There was no better pick for the team to make that season than tackle Orlando Pace. Coming out of Ohio State, Pace was the most dominant tackle entering the draft that the league had seen in some time.

At 6-foot-7, Pace was a monstrous offensive tackle that had plenty of ability. He will always be remembered as the starting tackle during the years of “The Greatest Show on Turf” and for his tremendous technique. He was a consistent Pro Bowler in his time in the league.

What makes the pick of Pace even more interesting is that the Rams acquired the No. 1 overall pick from the New York Jets before the draft, which is sort of similar to the situation the Rams have found themselves in this year.

Pace was an All-Pro three times and part of the only Rams team to ever win a Super Bowl. He will be enshrined into the Hall of Fame later this year for being one of the best offensive tackles to ever play the game of football.

When you think of great Rams offensive linemen, you think of Pace.
