DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-April 22
High Salary SG
Evan Turner-Boston Celtics (6,000): Turner came off the bench for Boston in their Game 2 matchup even though Avery Bradley was sidelined as coach Brad Stevens opted to start Marcus Smart alongside Isaiah Thomas. Turner did still play 33 minutes for the C’s and finished with a decent 23.75 fantasy points even though the Celtics offense was struggling badly. I think getting Turner going early will be a big help to the Celtics turning their offense around tonight at home, so look for a big game from Turner tonight at the Garden. He did post 31 and 23.75 fantasy points in the first two games of the series, so he hasn’t been a total bust, and I think even more is definitely possible tonight. ∗∗∗∗∗
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,200): KCP’s salary is about what it normally is when he’s on my high-value list, but the lack of SG options tonight puts him in the high salary options. Caldwell-Pope has been excellent in the first two games of the Playoffs for the Pistons with 21 points and 30 fantasy points in Game 1 and 13 points to go with eight rebounds on his way to 30.5 fantasy points in Game 2. Detroit always relies on him for big minutes and he has ended up with 38 and 37 minutes in the first two games of the series. Expect more of the same tonight, as coach Stan Van Gundy continues to rely on KCP for lots of varied production and a heavy workload of minutes tonight in Detroit. ∗∗∗∗
