High Salary SF

Kevin Durant-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,300): There are two big-name SF options tonight in Durant and Paul George.  Durant bounced back from a woeful shooting performance in Game 2 and dropped 34 points on the Mavericks in Game 3 in just 37 minutes.  He totaled 48.75 fantasy points which was his best fantasy output of the series in that contest and should be set up for another good game tonight since the Mavericks don’t have a great SF matchup against him and are being forced to defend him with smaller Wesley Matthews.  Durant’s fantasy production is pretty reliable, but he hasn’t been able to totally go off in this series and return full value yet at his 10K+ salary.

Paul George (9,100): PG13 has out-produced Durant’s best game in the playoffs in two of his three games against Toronto, and he’s an option I like better than Durant especially since he’s cheaper in tonight’s contests.  George had 59 fantasy points in his huge Game 1, and he posted a nice 50.5 fantasy points in Game 3 while turning in a double-double of 25 points, ten boards, and six assists.  He has been the best player on the floor for much of this series and should be ready for more fantasy-point production tonight in Game 4. He has a ceiling every bit as high as Durant’s and his team is in the more desperate position as well as less likely to be involved in a blowout.

Luol Deng-Miami Heat (6,200): Deng opened the playoffs with a bang going off for 31 points in Game 1 against the Hornets and totaling 44.75 fantasy points. In Game 2, he came back to earth a bit with 16 points, six rebounds, and 30 fantasy points. He should continue to be productive and is on quite the run with at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last five contests dating back to before the playoffs started. With the Hornets shaking things up due to injury, look for Deng to continue to put the pressure on his matchup on the offensive end.
