DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-April 25
High Value C
Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (5,600): After scoring 17 points in Game 2, only six points in Game 3 would usually be a disappointment, but Plumlee made up for the decrease in scoring by hauling in an impressive 21 rebounds and adding nine assists for 46.75 fantasy points in his 33 minutes in Game 3. He has at least 45 fantasy points in each of the last two games after just ten fantasy points in Game 1. He isn’t as established as Whiteside or Jordan, but he has out-produced them both in his last two games. He’s high-risk, but I love his upside especially since the Blazers are still at home tonight against the Clippers. ∗∗∗∗
Enes Kanter-Oklahoma City Thunder (5,400): The Thunder would be amazing good if Kanter could play even a little bit of defense. His offensive game is undeniable, but OKC has to limit his minutes since his defensive game bears too much of a resemblance to James Harden’s. Kanter was great in the Thunder’s two wins in Dallas scoring 21 and 28 points and totaling 35 and 37 fantasy points. He has over 30 fantasy points in three of the four games in this series and will get extra playing time if the Thunder pull away early from the Mavs. Kanter is a mid-range play with a ton of upside in his matchup tonight against the Mavs although there is risk that he’ll struggle off the bench and leave you with a burn like he did in Game 2 when he had just 17.5 fantasy points. ∗∗∗
Frank Kaminsky-Charlotte Hornets (3,400): Frank the Tank got the start for the Hornets in place of Nicolas Batum as Charlotte went big and slid Marvin Williams to SF. Kaminsky wasn’t the starter in name only, either, playing an active 35 minutes while scoring 15 points and adding six rebounds on his way to 28 fantasy points. If he start again tonight, he’ll be a great value and one of the better sub-4K plays at any position tonight. Make sure Batum isn’t making a surprise return, but if Kaminsky starts he’ll be a good play tonight. If starting-∗∗∗∗∗ Off the bench-∗∗
Amar’e Stoudemire-Miami Heat (2,100): Stoudemire played just nine minutes in Game 3 and failed to score although he did have 6.25 fantasy points on two blocks, a steal, and a rebound. He could be in for much more action tonight, though, if Hassan Whiteside is slowed by a thigh bruise that cost him practice time since the last game in this series. Stoudemire is a high-risk flier, but he could pay off if he gets more playing time than expected.∗
