player. 31.
Ereck Flowers is not a left tackle of the future in my mind, and even if he was capable of transforming into that, the Giants probably can’t afford to wait. Eli Manning has been battered at times in recent years as New York struggles to protect him, and that facilitated the reach (er, pick) for Flowers a year ago. With the way this draft has played out, though, the Giants can take the best available player and allow themselves to shift Flowers to the more suitable position for his long-term future.

Ronnie Stanley is comfortably slotted in as the number two left tackle prospect in this draft, and he just might be the player with the highest ceiling given his beautiful pass-blocking skills. Stanley is highly mobile and occasionally dominant in the passing game, and if he can simply hone the run-blocking skills needed at the next level, the Giants could be looking at a future Pro Bowl selection at both tackle spots.

New York does not need help elsewhere and, frankly, Stanley might be gone by now. If so, the Giants could reach a bit for Michigan State tackle Jack Conklin or address one of their other needs in the form of a pass rusher or even a wide receiver. With that said, Ronnie Stanley would look fantastic in the blue and white.
. OT. Notre Dame. Ronnie Stanley. 10
