50.
The Lions are one of many teams in the next range of picks that would love to get their hands on Taylor Decker to help out along the offensive line. With that option off the board, though, Detroit is forced to search for the best of the rest.

Defensive tackle isn’t the biggest immediate need for the Lions, but Haloti Ngata is not getting younger and Detroit’s entire defensive front took a massive step back in 2015 from where it was previously. Andrew Billings is not a player that everyone loves because of his lack of height (6-foot-1), but the former Baylor Bears standout is a player that I am absolutely in the tank for at this point in the draft process.

Billings is incredibly strong and that is his best asset, but he also moves with insane grace when considering his level of power. He is a tremendous athlete with the ability to penetrate the middle of any offensive line with regularity, and there aren’t motor concerns with Billings in the way that there are with other defensive tackle prospects in this class.

Keep an eye on wide receiver and, potentially, a big reach for another offensive tackle, but Billings would be a much better value.
. DT. Baylor. Andrew Billings. 16. player
