No. 5 – Dallas Cowboys

It might almost be a comedy of riches to have the injured Sam Bradford playing inside Jerry World behind another often injured quarterback, Tony Romo. It also wouldn’t be something you could put past owner Jerry Jones, who likes to sign players and make moves that have others scratching their heads.

The reality is that Romo is coming off a major injury that only draws more attention to the fact that he is on the down side of his thirties, as he turned 36 last week. The Cowboys are picking fourth in Thursday’s draft because, quite frankly, they need help.

Bradford is young enough that his injury issues still aren’t quite the red flag they are for other signal callers. He can still sling the ball around and, if the Cowboys do go out and draft a running back early on, they could have the second coming of the triplets on their roster for a long time (with the receiver being Dez Bryant).

Quite frankly, it would be insane for the Eagles to trade Sam Bradford within their own division to one hated rival. Yet, if Dallas can put together a nice perk package, anything is possible.
