Jacksonville Jaguars – Blaine Gabbert (No. 10 pick, 2011)

In a few years, there might be a new name in this space. Jacksonville’s investment in former Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel has been an abject failure through three seasons, but it is too early to make a definitive statement on his career at this point. With that in mind, there are several candidates for this dubious distinction, including Byron Leftwich, Matt Jones, and the immortal Derrick Harvey.

We’re going with Gabbert. The former Missouri quarterback posted a 5-22 record as the starter in Jacksonville, and while his touchdown to interception ratio (22 to 24) was not ghastly, there was nothing to suggest he was going to turn things around before the team moved on following the 2013 season.

Gabbert is still only 26, and could still carve out a respectable NFL career, most likely as a backup, but considering he was a top 10 pick, he goes down as a failure. And as we’ve already seen on this list, nothing is worse than missing on a quarterback high in the draft.

Well, unless Luke Joeckel continues down his current path.
