Round 4—Adam Gotsis, DT/DE, Georgia Tech

Knowing that the Broncos have nine picks in the 2016 NFL Draft, you’d love to see them take a real flyer at a position of need in the middle rounds that could hit big if they choose wisely and won’t kill them if the selection ends up not working out. The perfect guy in that mold and to potentially fill a need would be defensive lineman Adam Gotsis, formerly of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

A big reason why taking Gotsis would be a risk is the fact that he’s coming off of a torn ACL last season and that injury is obviously complicating things in a major way throughout the draft process. However, you’d have to believe that the big Australian could have legitimately gone two rounds earlier in the draft had it not been for that knee injury.

When healthy, though, Gotsis is a big strong player with a ton of versatility. With the right training and scheming for a defensive coordinator, Gotsis could legitimately play virtually anywhere the Broncos needed to rotate him in on the defensive line. With it being Round 4, I’d love the team to take a big risk and this is the player they should do that with.
