Round 5—Jayron Kearse, SS, Clemson

Jayron Kearse is one of the most intriguing players in this draft, not because of his stock falling over the course of his college career or because of his off the field character problems. No, the former Clemson Tigers safety is polarizing because he’s such a unique player at his position that most scouts legitimately don’t know what to make of him or do with him.

At 6-4, 216 pounds, with crazy long arms and decent numbers at the combine, Kearse is truly a one-of-a-kind player in terms of his build. However, if he can get coached to hone his technique, his range could be unprecedented in the NFL and make him a special player—and he just so happens to play a position that the Broncos need depth at.

Fahn Cooper, OT, Ole Miss

Speaking of areas where Denver needs depth, offensive line is certainly one of those areas. Though Laremy Tunsil is obviously the tackle from the Ole Miss Rebels that everyone is deservedly talking about in regards to the 2016 NFL Draft, Fahn Cooper from the opposite tackle is intriguing.

Though there wasn’t much fanfare about him throughout his college career—largely due to playing for three separate schools—Cooper has shown in tape and in the Shrine Bowl that he’s a capable offensive lineman that could be quite good with the right coaching on the mental aspects of the game. As such, sliding him into the offensive line depth chart for the Broncos makes sense.
