High Salary C

DeAndre Jordan-Los Angeles Clippers (8,000): Jordan will have to step up for LA with the other 2/3 of their “big 3” sidelined for the rest of the playoffs.  Jordan has had a good track record against the Blazers this season and has dominated down low in this series with at least 38 fantasy points in each game.  He has also added multiple blocks in every game and will continue to anchor the LA defense which will need to be excellent for them to have a shot at moving on.  Jordan has an extremely high ceiling tonight, but I think he may struggle without Chris Paul doing CP3-things to get him the ball. He’s a huge boom-or-bust play tonight, but since the Clippers will look to get him the ball a lot I think he’ll end up with good numbers although he may have to shoot a lot of free throws to get them. ∗∗∗

Dwight Howard-Houston Rockets (6,800): Is this Howard’s last game in a Rockets uniform? If Houston loses tonight at Golden State and Howard goes elsewhere this offseason, he’ll at least go out with a solid playoff series at the end of his rocky tenure in Houston.  He has a double-double in each of the four games with at least 36 fantasy points in each of the last three. His best game of the series game in Game 4 when he had 19 points and 15 boards for a total of 40.25 fantasy points. He’ll need another big game tonight if the Rockets want to extend the series and send it back to Houston.

Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (6,200): Plumlee has been excellent this series since a disappointing Game 1 where he was only notable for getting dunked on repeatedly by Blake Griffin.  In Game 2, he bounced back with 17 points, ten rebounds, and seven assists for 47.5 fantasy points and followed that up with a monster 21-rebound game in Game 3 while adding nine assists for 46.75 fantasy points. In Game 4, his line was very atypical for a big man with a double-double of 14 rebounds and ten assists powering him to 40 fantasy points despite scoring just two points.  With Griffin gone and DeAndre the only interior defender left for LA, look for another good game for Plumlee tonight who will be a great value if he gets to 35 fantasy points for the fourth straight game. ∗∗∗
