High Value SG

Jamal Crawford-Los Angeles Clippers (5,100): The Clippers need offense tonight, and there aren’t a lot of options with CP3 out, Blake out, DeAndre unable to create his own shot, and Austin Rivers running the point.  Crawford is still expected to come off the bench for LA tonight, but he should get plenty of minutes to contribute.  He already was playing 27+ minutes per game in the series but stepped up to 32 in Game 4 finishing with 12 points, five rebounds, four steals, and two assists for 28.25 fantasy points. Crawford has a tendency to be a boom-or-bust producer and has burned owners in the past, but I think he’ll have to produce tonight since the Clippers don’t have many other scoring options.

Austin Rivers-Los Angeles Clippers (3,300): Like Shaun Livingston, Rivers won’t be able to duplicate the production of the player he is replacing as he steps in for Chris Paul, but he will need to be productive.  Rivers didn’t play great in his 23 minutes in Game 4 finishing with just four points and three assists for 12.5 fantasy points, but he did have some nice games in the regular season filling in when Paul rested. He played 39 minutes against Oklahoma City on March 31 in one of those games and had 32 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals.  While a line like that isn’t likely to happen tonight against Portland, he does have that kind of upside if things go his way.  Rivers will most definitely have the opportunity, so give him a look at this affordable price since he’ll be taking plenty of shots tonight.

Ian Clark-Golden State Warriors (2,100): Clark picked up big minutes in Game 3 with Steph Curry out, and he also played after Steph left again in Game 4.  In those two games, he played a total of 34 minutes scoring 16 points to go with seven assists, three rebounds, and a steal.  Clark finished with 19.75 fantasy points in Game 3 and 12.5 fantasy points in Game 4. I think he’ll be around 15-20 fantasy points again tonight making him a decent play at this price. If you have to go under 3K for anyone, Clark’s hustle and opportunity make him a good candidate.
