1. Steven Wright-Boston Red Sox (14.3%)

Wright hasn’t had good luck when it comes to his record this season, but he has been extremely effective as Boston’s fifth starter so far this season.  He got his first win of the season on Friday when he beat the Astros while lowering his ERA to 1.40.

He’ll take the mound tonight at Fenway Park with just a 1-2 record but his solid ERA and 1.24 WHIP show he has been effective. Surprisingly for a knuckle-baller, Wright even has a solid strikeout-rate with 17 K’s in his 19.1 innings.

Tonight, Wright gets a great matchup against the Braves who have been one of the worst teams in the Majors so far this year, and who have never seen Wright before. Given the matchup and his great start, Wright is the first name I would look for a one-start pickup although I like Estrada’s potential more for the rest of the season as a whole.
