2016 NFL mock draft: Final edition
Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor
Last year, the Minnesota Vikings were a missed field goal off the foot of Blair Walsh from going to the NFC Divisional round. The team came a long way in winning the NFC North title and pushing the Seattle Seahawks to the limit, but it still has some obvious holes on the roster. General manager Rick Spielman did a nice job of plugging one of them with the signing of guard Alex Boone, but wide receiver remains a major concern.
The Vikings appear to be in the sweet spot for wide receiving help, and Corey Coleman out of Baylor University would be a great fir. Coleman is a fast receiver with quality hands. While he still needs to develop his route tree, Coleman is the kind of player who can separate from a cornerback and take it to the house.
Minnesota has to find another weapon for quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, who through the first two years of his career has displayed ample promise. Unfortunately, he has played with very limited receivers including the aging Greg Jennings and the overrated (and overpaid) Mike Wallace. Coleman might finally give Bridgewater a decent receiver to play with, and a complement to the future Hall of Famer, Adrian Peterson.
