2016 NFL mock draft: Final edition
Jason Spriggs, OT, Indiana
The Seattle Seahawks may not have reached the Super Bowl for the first time in three years last season, but they remain one of the best teams in the NFL. Seattle has all the earmarks of a Super Bowl contender in 2016, with Russell Wilson, Jimmy Graham, Thomas Rawls, Doug Baldwin and one of the top defenses in the game. However, there is a serious flaw in th offense, with the line resembling something of Swiss cheese.
After losing the oft-injured Russell Okung to free agency, the Seahawks really have no capable player at left tackle. Last year, Wilson was constantly running for his life, sacked more than 40 times despite being the most mobile quarterback in the sport. If general manager John Schneider hopes to see Wilson stay upright for 16 games and deep into the playoffs, he has to get him a a blindside protector.
Jason Spriggs out of the University of Indiana would be a nice fit. While many project him to be a right tackle, Seattle could put him on the left side and give some help with a tight end or fullback. Spriggs is the best lineman on the board at this spot and would be a great fit for a team that needs him horribly.
