High Salary PG

Russell Westbrook-Oklahoma City Thunder (10,800): Westbrook and the Thunder cruised past the Mavericks in a contentious but noncompetitive series.  Westbrook put up superstar numbers against the Mavs in Game 5 scoring 36 points to go with 12 rebounds, nine assists for a massive 68 fantasy points. He had at least 48 fantasy points in every game in the series and produces in a wide variety of categories as a nightly triple-double threat. In three games against the Spurs during the regular season, Westbrook averaged 27 points, 8.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.7 steals. While those numbers are below his season averages, he should be able to step it up as the two teams meet tonight in Game 1.

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,300): Walker has had an up-and-down series but he had a big night in Charlotte in Game 6 scoring 37 points and a series-high 50.1 fantasy points. He’ll need to step up in Miami on Sunday as the Hornets try to pull the upset and move on to face the winner of Game 7 in the Pacers-Raptors series. Walker has been inconsistent, but his upside is extremely high.

Damian Lillard-Portland Trail Blazers (8,400): Lillard had one of his best games of the season against the Warriors piling up 51 points, seven assists, and six steals against them as the Blazers beat Golden State right after the All Star break. He averaged 36.5 points, 6.5 assists, and 2.3 steals against the Warriors in their four meetings this season. Lillard is coming off a so-so series against the Clippers, but he did step up with 53.25 fantasy points in the deciding Game 6 on Friday when he scored 28 points and added seven assists and five boards.  Lillard won’t have to deal with Steph Curry on either end of the floor, but Shaun Livingston is a good defender.  I think Lillard will put up good numbers in this series as a whole, but it is a different matchup than the one he averaged those excellent numbers against earlier in the season. ∗∗
