Could the Denver Broncos be getting a new helmet for the 2016 season?
The NFL is one of the most popular sports leagues in the world, and as a result the logos teams have are branding that fans attach themselves to. It’s a billion dollar business for a reason and selling team apparel is a big part of that.
So when a team updates their look, it’s an easy cash grab as well as being an exciting thing that fans can literally buy into. Some teams haven’t updated their look in years as no one is asking the Packers or Steelers to modernize their look. But the Denver Broncos might be transitioning away from their Super Bowl season with a new look on the field in more than just the roster.
Paul Lukas passed a long a tweet that seemed to suggest we might be seeing a new Broncos helmet revealed soon.
Now, this is grasping at straws but those straws might be attached to something. After all, teams update their looks all the time once they conclude an era in their history and the Broncos just did that. The Peyton Manning era is over and the Paxton Lynch future is here.
That doesn’t mean the Broncos will be getting a new logo or anything, but it’s not unfathomable to believe that they could update their helmet layout. It’s been over 20 years since the Broncos updated their look and they seem due to at least change things up even in a minor way.
