5. Jeff Locke-Pittsburgh Pirates (5.7%)

Locke had a great bounce back outing in his last start despite taking the mound at Coors Field which is usually an impossible place for starting pitchers to produce.  Locke has been up and down this season, but I think he has a shot to pick up a win this afternoon.

In his first start of the season, Locke faced the same opponent he takes on today when he held the Reds to just one run on seven hits in six strong innings. He struggled in his next two outings against the Brewers and Padres, but really turned it on against the Rockies on Monday. In that outing he held Colorado to five hits in six shutout innings and got his first win of the season.

Locke isn’t a high strikeout pitcher, but he does have a decent 15 in his 19.2 innings this season.  He’s risky since he did get shelled just two outings ago, but he has enough upside to earn my fifth spot for this Sunday.  Locke is in a good matchup against the Reds who he has gone 3-3 against in the last three years with a 3.44 ERA. He’ll be opposed by Tim Adleman today who will be making his MLB debut.
