NFC West

Arizona Cardinals: B+

The Cardinals know what they are doing, and this draft class is further indication. Arizona was able to grab Robert Nkemdiche with the 29th-overall pick, getting a player who is the ultimate boom-or-bust candidate. The second round gave more talent in corner Brandon Williams, who should start immediately opposite of Patrick Peterson.

Los Angeles Rams: B

This grade could be a little bit higher if Jared Goff didn’t cost so much. Goff is the best quarterback in this draft and the Rams paid dearly to acquire him, limiting their class size. The rest of the class was all about putting weapons around Goff, although the only target I prefer is Pharoh Cooper. If Goff is great, the grade should be an A+. Otherwise, it’s an F.

San Francisco 49ers: C-

The 49ers made the second-most selections of anybody in the NFL, but they came away fairly empty. San Francisco got a nice player in DeForest Buckner but then made the mystifying move of trading up for a guard in the end of the first round. The 49ers failed to grab many impact players, something that doesn’t bode well for a team in need of roster shakeup.

Seattle Seahawks: B-

This was a solid haul for general manager John Schneider. Seattle had to come away with some help on the offensive line and did so with the first-round pick of Germain Ifedi and the third-round selection of Rees Odhiambo. The Seahawks also got great value in defensive tackle Jarran Reed, giving them another quality rotational player on the front line.
