53.
This is probably an insane fit, and I’ll grant that. The Browns have real defensive needs and Cleveland’s new “money ball” approach probably lends itself to a more conservative pick.

Still, this is a 2017 mock draft with absolutely no justification behind it, and the pairing of Dalvin Cook and Deshaun Watson would be incredibly entertaining for fans of the NFL.

Dalvin Cook is scary good… if he can stay on the field. The rising junior had a bevy of injury issues during the 2015 season, forcing him to miss a full game and parts of at least two other contests. However, Cook was not hampered enough to the point where it affected his season-long play, and that is evidenced by the fact that he ran for 1,691 yards (on 7.4 yards per carry) and 19 touchdowns.

Leonard Fournette justifiably sees the most buzz when it comes to this running back class, and that comes with being the top overall recruit in the country out of high school and dominating at every step along the way. However, Dalvin Cook was just as good at the college level in 2015, and if he can shed the injury label over a full season, he looks like a first-round running back, even if this is a slight reach given the positional matrix.
.
