player. 55.
I’ll be the first to tell you that DeMarcus Walker might be long gone by this point in the 2017 NFL Draft. In fact, it would not be a surprise, at least to me, if another dominant season propels Walker into the discussion as a potential pick in the top ten.

During the 2015 campaign with Florida State, Walker enjoyed easily his best college season, producing 10.5 sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss to lead the Seminoles up front. Florida State’s defense was maligned at times, but with Jalen Ramsey at the back end and Walker off the edge, their upside was considerable and Walker easily could have declared for the 2016 draft and landed within the top two rounds.

At 6-foot-3 and 273 pounds, Walker is a monster physically, and he has the ability to stand up in the running game while also creating havoc on passing downs. That size also presents versatility in terms of scheme fit, and Walker will have the opportunity to build on his considerable success as a junior with the knowledge that he is the leader of the Florida State defense in 2016.

Defensive end might be the best position in this draft class, and DeMarcus Walker is part of the reason.
. DE. Florida State. DeMarcus Walker. 28
