WR. Baylor. KD Cannon. 30. player. 32.
Corey Coleman garnered all of the attention for the Baylor Bears at wide receiver in 2015. Now, it is KD Cannon’s time to shine and he will be electric in doing so.

Cannon burst on to the scene with a 1,000-yard campaign (1,030 yards, 8 touchdowns) as a freshman in 2014, and even with a small step back in his sophomore campaign, NFL scouts remain interested in his services. The 6-foot, 180-pound wide receiver averaged more than 17 yards per catch as a sophomore, and even as a secondary option, he produced more than 800 yards and six touchdowns.

At the NFL level, Cannon’s primary draw is his ludicrous speed. He is a former track champion at the high school level that many think is one of the fastest players in this entire draft class. There is room for improvement in some other areas, but Cannon has also displayed a willingness to “win” in man coverage, and if he can show off hands and strength during his final college season, this pick will look exceedingly reasonable.

Other players like Artavis Scott, Isaiah Ford and Darren Carrington will be in the mix as the next wide receiver taken in 2017, but Cannon is a guy that I like a great deal.
