Jalen Tabor. 7. player. 13.
Vernon Hargreaves III received all of the love for the Florida Gators in terms of the 2015 secondary. I would argue, though, that Jalen Tabor might be the better NFL prospect.

The 6-foot-1 Tabor has better measurables than Hargreaves III at this stage, and he was just as productive in 2015. Tabor contributed 40 tackles and 14 pass deflections during his sophomore year in Gainesville, and he showed the electrifying athleticism that accompanies this selection in taking two interceptions the other way for touchdowns.

In terms of this class, Tabor ranks second behind Jabrill Peppers, but that has more to do with Peppers’ crazy versatility and nose for the ball than as a knock against Tabor. The rising junior looks to be a potential lockdown cornerback at the NFL level (especially if he can display the type of speed against NFL wide receivers that we’ve seen on tape in college), and as we know at this point in 2016, those players are very difficult to come by, ensuring that sizable investments are made when they arrive.

San Diego could be in the market for quarterback help in the way of insurance for Philip Rivers, but Tabor is the best player available right now given what we know.
. CB. Florida
