AFC South

Houston Texans

DeAndre Hopkins, WR (Option Accepted) – If you have to even ask why the Texans would pick up this option faster than any team in the NFL did, you haven’t watch the league the last three seasons. Hopkins is arguably one of the top receivers in the game right now and will command big money when the time comes.

Indianapolis Colts

Bjoern Werner, LB (Released) – Much like his former Florida State teammate in Buffalo, Werner turned out to be one of the biggest bust in the class and was let go by the Colts even before they could decline the option.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Luke Joeckel, OL (Option Declined) – When the team goes out and signs your replacement even before the period has come to decide whether or not to pick up your option, it’s not a good sign. Joeckel should be able to find work somewhere…the CFL, Arena League maybe.

Tennessee Titans

Chance Warmack, OG (Option Declined) – Warmack was going to be the NFL’s next great offensive lineman after an outstanding college career at Alabama. He must have left that talent in Tuscaloosa, because the Titans are saying adios after this season.
