4. Colby Lewis-Texas Rangers (7.2%)

Lewis has been very solid for the Rangers in the early part of the season, but I don’t like his matchup at all tonight.  My #5 option is high-risk, though, so if you can’t get any of my top three plays, Lewis is the way that I would go even though I don’t like him taking the mound tonight in Toronto against Aaron Sanchez.

Lewis has allowed four runs or fewer in each of his five starts this year, though, with four quality starts.  He picked up the win in his last outing limiting the Angels to two runs on nine hits in seven innings.  He didn’t strike out any in that game and just just 20 K’s in his 31 innings.  He won’t get you a ton of strikeouts and his propensity for giving up home runs is a little worrisome given his matchup tonight.

However, Lewis has worked around a lot of baserunners to enter tonight with a 3.19 ERA and usually gives his team a chance to win.  Texas is off to a good start this season thanks to some solid starting pitching of which Lewis has been an important part.
