High Salary PG

Kyrie Irving- Cleveland Cavaliers (7,900) ****

In Game 2 of the Cleveland Cavaliers/Atlanta Hawks series, Irving played 22 minutes. Despite his low minute count, he made a solid contribution in all three levels of the game. Irving went four for five from long-range. He totaled 19 points, picked up two rebounds, and set his teammates up with a basket six times. The only problem with picking Irving is that you will spend a lot of money on a player that might not record many minutes if the Cavaliers have their way again. He is a high reward, low to slightly moderate risk player. In other words, he will earn you points, but he may not get to play all four quarters.

Russell Westbrook- Oklahoma City Thunder (10,900) ***

Russell Westbrook is a special player. Heck, he had more triple doubles than any other player this season. But, I am worried about the San Antonio Spurs playing for blood in Game 3 of the series. Due to the controversial ending to Game 2, I’m not as feeling very high on the Thunder. Maybe I’m just a worry-wort, but I feel as if the Spurs will stop at nothing to get revenge. Game 3 will not be a Thunder blowout, so Westbrook will get touches. I just recommend thinking twice before investing more than 10 percent of your salary cap into a player.
