No. 1 – Jared Goff, Quarterback

Coming out of Cal, Jared Goff looks to be the franchise signal caller that the Los Angeles Rams have been waiting years for. He may not be the most physically imposing quarterback in the NFL, but he has the size and talent needed to play in this league for a decade plus.

If Jared Goff is as good as scouts are saying, then the Rams should minimally double the number of wins they have this season. It would be shocking if the Rams reached a playoff berth, but nothing is out of reach for this talented young passer.

The Rams have luckily been able to stockpile talent for the last couple of seasons, and are primed to take a giant leap forward. The Rams’ defense is nasty, and is talented enough that Goff won’t be forced to win every game this season without help (this isn’t the 2012 Colts with Andrew Luck).

Really, the Rams gave up too much capital for Goff to turn out to be a bust. As long as he has a decent touchdown to interception ratio, he will be a contender for Offensive Rookie of the Year.
