Rick Porcello-Boston Red Sox (9,100)

Porcello has started the season red hot for the Red Sox getting a win in each of his first five starts.  He has posted 13.1 scoreless innings in his last two starts allowing just nine hits and walking three while striking out six in each outing.

He has totaled 36 K’s in his 32.2 innings and enters tonight’s start against the Yankees with a 2.76 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP.  In his last start, Porcello faced the same Yankees at Fenway Park and he held them scoreless on just five hits in seven innings.  He’ll be on the mound at Yankee Stadium tonight which is a tricky place to pitch, but the Yankees haven’t been that formidable of an opponent. New York has scored the second-fewest runs in the Major Leagues and are just 5-7 at home.

Porcello has at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last four starts and is coming off a season-high 28.2 fantasy points in his last start.  He isn’t a cheap option now that his salary is over 9K, but he should be a pretty safe pick tonight.
