The White Sox’ mix of Melky Cabrera, Austin Jackson and Adam Eaton in the outfield has been solid, but it is not like they are loaded with all-stars out there. Cabrera has hit extremely well and Eaton has proved to be an overall play-maker for the team. That being said, Jackson has struggled with the bat and DH Avisail Garcia leaves plenty to be desired.

Josh Reddick is on the last year of his deal with the Oakland A’s, and if they fall out of contention like expected, Bill Beane will be looking to deal his outfield. Reddick is a good hitter with great plate discipline and strong contact skills. He is not a huge power hitter, but he certainly has some pop in his bat.

Reddick is also considered an elite-level defender in right field and a hard-working player with a great attitude. Adding Reddick to the mix may not cost the White Sox much, and he would be a huge two-way addition to the mix.

Adding Reddick to right field would allow the White Sox to play the hot hands across their outfield/DH mix. Eaton could move over to center to give Jackson a day off, immediately improving the offense. Eaton could also play left, moving Cabrera to DH and drastically improving their offense and defense.
