8. Miles Bridges, F, Michigan State Spartans

It’s going to be a while before Michigan State fans forget the shocking NCAA Tournament First Round loss to Middle Tennessee State, but at least they can look forward to watching Bridges play in 2016.

Bridges will be tasked with helping the Spartans recover from the departures of Denzel Valentine and Deyonta Davis. The 6-7, 225-pound small forward committed to Tom Izzo over Kentucky and the Indiana Hoosiers last October.

Putting Bridges on the floor will give Michigan State plenty of versatility to work with. Bridges has recently stated he wants to play the wing in college, but could also be successful at the four spot given his size.

Between the McDonald’s All-American Game and Jordan Brand Classic, Bridges averaged 12.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and three assists. Rebounding ability and impressive finishing in transition made Bridges a five-star recruit in the first place, and he’s added more range recently, which will help the Spartans stretch the floor.

While the Spartans missed out on Jackson, Bridges capped off a terrific recruiting class for Izzo that included fellow five star Josh Langford, plus a pair of four stars. With Bridges’ unique talents on the floor, Michigan State is going to be fun to watch in 2016.
