4. De’Aaron Fox, G, Kentucky Wildcats

As great as Adebayo and Monk should be, Fox has the highest ceiling of any 2016 Wildcat recruit, and should provide fans in Rupp with plenty of thrills this season.

Fox committed to Kentucky’s loaded recruiting class in November, and will join Monk in the Wildcats’ backcourt. With an ability to either play on or off the ball, Calipari will be able to use Fox to create all sort of matchup problems for the opposition.

The 6-4, 170-pound combo guard has an explosive move to the basket which should help him put up some gaudy scoring totals. In addition, Fox is regarded as a good passer when playing point guard, and can knock down catch-and-shoot jumpers when playing off the ball.

Unfortunately, we didn’t see Fox at his best during the McDonald’s All-American Game, as he went 1-8 from the field with seven assists and five turnovers. Fox bounced back at the Jordan Brand Classic in mid-April with 23 points to share MVP honors with Monk.

This Kentucky class might not quite match that of two years ago, but it’s still going to be very special to watch. Fox will look to make an instant impact before heading off to the draft to become a likely lottery pick.
