Michigan State. Deyonta Davis. 11. player. 38.
Deyonta Davis has an unlimited amount of the all-heralded upside, especially on the defensive end of the ball. At the beginning of this NCAA season Davis wasn’t on most draft boards for 2016, but an impressive freshman season at Michigan State has him going anywhere from 10-20 in next month’s draft.

Davis averaged 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in a mere 18.6 minutes a night for coach Izzo and the Spartans. His block rate was a preposterous 10.2 percent and he corralled 17.1 percent of all rebounds when he was on the court. He stands 6-10 with a 7-2 wingspan, which allows him to block shots when most other players cannot. He regularly caught opponents off guard as they thought their floater was high enough and the lane was clear, only for Davis to come skyrocketing out of nowhere to erase the shot attempt.

The Magic have not made the postseason since the 2011/12 lockout-shortened season, but they have been stellar in recent drafts, acquiring Victor Oladipo, Elfrid Payton, Aaron Gordon and Mario Hezonja. Their core seems to be in place as they are filling the stables and soon enough it will be time to let those horses free to wreck the Eastern Conference.

To read more about Deyonta Davis, <a href=.
