Baylor. Taurean Prince. 15. player. 73.
Taurean Prince to Denver makes sense to me. I see Prince as a younger Wilson Chandler and everyone loves Wilson, right? Guys?! This 21-year-old (he will be 22 by the start of next season) wing is the perfect player to fit the “3 and D” mold every single team in the Association so badly desires. He’s 6-8 with a 7-0 wingspan and shot a respectable 36.1 percent (4.3 attempts) as a senior at Baylor.

His senior season was his first as a full-time starter and he took full advantage, showing off his athleticism on both ends of the floor. Prince fits all the specs for a defensive catalyst on the wing, but the truth is we didn’t see much of it in college because Baylor runs a zone as their primary team defense. Having the tools are one thing; being able to use those and put them into motion in the NBA is a completely different thing.

I had the Nuggets taking Timothe Luwawu with their No. 7 pick, so adding Prince as another quality wing is a solid play for a team who looks to be set down low with Jokic, Nurkic and Faried. Giving Mudiay more options while Denver runs the fast break can’t be all that bad either.
