64. Furkan Korkmaz is one of the younger prospects in the 2016 draft at only 18-years old, but he’s been a professional in Turkey for the last two seasons. He plays for Anadolu Efes — one of the better teams in Europe — and has a beautiful flowy nature to his offensive skillset.

The areas he will need to bolster up on are his defensive prowess and his weight. He’s 6-8 but only weights about 190 pounds so he will be easily manipulated and pushed around until he’s able to bulk up a bit. The Pistons have two available roster spots heading into the draft and NBA free agency so they could honestly afford to draft-and-stash Korkmaz for a season while he continues to develop.

Detroit has a solid group of wings in Caldwell-Pope, Stanley Johnson, Meeks, Harris and even Morris so it’s unlikely that he would crack Stan Van Gundy’s rotation in his rookie season. Korkmaz’ agent recently tweeted that they have a buyout clause in his client’s control for both the 2016 and 2017 summers which lends me to believe that he will come over if the opportunity is ripe, but if not he has no issue playing in Turkey for another season.
