PG. Kentucky. Tyler Ulis. 19. player. 73. Tyler Ulis was a stellar college player for Coach Calipari at Kentucky but his 5-9 size worries me about his prospects in the NBA. I know there have been diminutive success stories before but I just can’t warrant taking him in the lottery at this point. Most have him as a lock to the Chicago Bulls at No. 14 but as I mentioned earlier if Demetrius Jackson is there I fully expect him to be their pick.
<p>Ulis proved to be explosive out of the pick-and-roll last season for the Wildcats averaging a robust 17.3 points and seven assists while turning it over less than two times per game. His court vision led to the success of his teammates Jamal Murray and to a lesser extent Skal Labissiere late in the season as well, so his playmaking for others is clearly a benefit. He’s a pest on defense and a high energy player as well.</p>
