DeAndre Bembry. 25. player. 77. DeAndre Bembry has every feasible skill a team could want in a 6-6, 21-year old wing coming into the draft — except a jump shot. It’s quite literally the only thing he lacks and if he had a consistent jumper I believe he would be talked about in the 10-14 range of this draft class.
As it stands, he only shot 26.6 percent on 3.6 attempts from deep last season, which is not great. The fact that he’s still a consensus first round pick speaks very highly to the collection of other skills he brings to the table. He’s an adept slasher, with or without the ball, he can create for others, he’s a horse in the open court and he’s a solid on-ball defender to boot. All of these skills were on full display during Saint Joseph’s run last season and now he will have a chance to show them on the largest stage.

The Los Angeles Clippers have been discussed on all ends of the spectrum since their disappointing end to the season. Will they blow it up? Will they ride it out with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin? If they choose the latter, Bembry is the ideal selection here if he’s available as he could step in and play some rotational minutes for Doc Rivers as a rookie.

To read more about DeAndre Bembry, <a href=.
