Domantas Sabonis. 26. player. 93. The Philadelphia 76ers will be thrilled if they leave this draft with Brandon Ingram, Malik Beasley and Domantas Sabonis; thrilled. I’m not positive Sabonis drops this far — in fact, it’s highly unlikely — but if he does then Philly has to select him.
Sabonis is a cerebral big man who finishes strong in the paint with his left hand more often than not. He’s shown an ability to defend and find open teammates out of double teams and while he wont’ be a workhorse down low for Philly, he’s got the basketball IQ to be around the league for a long, long time.

Sabonis just turned 20-years old and he stands 6-10, weighing a solid 230 pounds. He’s already got the body of an NBA power forward and he was a stud in his first season as a starter with Gonzaga averaging 17.6 points and 11.8 rebounds. If he had shot blocking ability he would be a sure fire top-10 pick, but he only blocked 31 shots in his 36 games this season, so he’s not much of a rim protector.

He did display more of a soft touch on his mid range jump shots this past season and I think Sabonis could eventually be an NBA starter and take a route similar to David Lee’s.

To read more about Domantas Sabonis, <a href=.
