SG. Michigan. Caris LeVert. 27. player. 81. Caris LeVert is a 6-7 wing who possesses knockdown shooting skills, playmaking abilities and has shown the propensity to defend as well. So why do most mocks not even have him going in the first round? His feet are the culprit here. LeVert only played 33 games total over the past two seasons due to missing time for foot injuries and that has caused his once lotto projection to plummet.
Still, when healthy LeVert is an efficient shooter, rebounder and a willing passer as well. Last season for Michigan he averaged 16.5 points, 5.3 rebound and 4.9 assists with shooting splits of 51/45/79. Before going down last season with injury he boasted a true shooting percentage of 63.6, which is wild when you consider NBA averaged is 54 percent.

The Raptors have two first round picks and earlier they selected Buddy Hield so adding another shooter could really benefit them down the road. They could however be inclined to use this pick on a big man for the future, but I think LeVert is a solid pick this late in the first round. Let’s just hope he can kick that injury bug, so we’re all able to see his true potential in the near future.

To read more about Caris LeVert, <a href=
