8. player. 67.
The Sacramento Kings have a seemingly endless amount of work to put in before they become relevant again in the Western Conference, but the recent hire of Dave Joerger is hopefully a step in the right direction. Their frontline is stacked with DeMarcus Cousins, Kosta Koufos and Willie Cauley-Stein, but they do not currently own one of the most valuable assets for any NBA roster — the stretch four.

Henry Ellenson could be that guy. His numbers at Marquette don’t make this argument easy — he only shot 28.8 percent from deep — but the mechanics of his shot are solid, so the potential for him to be a consistent 3-point artist is definitely there. More importantly, he’s a beast on the boards, averaging 9.7 rebounds a game last season while grabbing nearly 25 percent of defensive rebounds while he was on the floor.

At 6-10 he’s not a super impressive rim protector and his defense overall is merely average, but at 19 years old he possesses all the necessary tools to be a successful NBA starter in a couple seasons. Joerger showed during his time in Memphis that he is capable of developing young talent and getting the most out of each and every one of his players.
