While there are plenty of dominant defensive players in the league that deserve the honor of being displayed on the front of a video game, there isn’t a player that is more dominant than Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt.

For the third time in four seasons, Watt was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year and led the league in sacks for the second time in his career. He also helped carry the Houston Texans to the playoffs and an AFC South Championship, despite the fact that they didn’t have a quarterback on the other side of the ball.

With the consistency that Watt plays with every year, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him win a fourth Defensive Player of the Year award and once again lead the league in sacks. At this point, Watt’s already earned the accolades needed of a future Hall of Famer, which just goes to show how insane he is on the field.

The Texans went and signed quarterback Brock Osweiler in free agency, which should have them competing for a spot in the playoffs again. If they get there and Watt has another huge year, he’s going to be a strong contender to be on the cover of Madden 18.
