1. Cam Newton

If you’re going to put your money down on the safest bet to be on the cover of Madden 18, Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is where you should be shifting all your money to right now.

He was the runner-up when Richard Sherman won the right to be on the cover and going into this year’s unveiling, everyone thought the reigning MVP and NFC Champion would be the pick to go up on the cover.

Although there was no vote this year and a player was selected, it still felt like Newton finished second yet again. He’s quickly becoming the face of the NFL with his incredible play and his charm off the field.

If the Panthers continue to roll in the NFC and perhaps even win the Super Bowl next year, there is no way that they can’t put Newton on the cover of the franchise. He’s a top seller among players in the league and his brand is one that people are buying up like crazy.

It makes sense from both the standpoint of his play on the field and a business standpoint. The only question left is will he be dabbing on the cover?
