66. . Small Forward. Kansas Jayhawks. Kelly Oubre, Jr.. 13. player

The Suns were a disaster in 2015-16, but if they got anything right it was taking Booker at No. 13 in the 2015 NBA Draft. He had a great rookie season and will probably make first team All-Rookie. Given that he’s not available in this re-draft, maybe Phoenix tries their luck with a high-upside wing like Kansas Jayhawks’ Kelly Oubre, Jr.

Oubre went No. 15 to the Atlanta Hawks before being immediately traded to the Washington Wizards, playing some important minutes for an otherwise disappointing 2015-16 Washington club.

It seems that with Phoenix having a glaring need out on the wing entering 2016-17 that maybe Oubre could have been a good piece for them this year, especially after the front office had to trade the disgruntled Markieff Morris ironically to the Wizards.

Phoenix was hurt at point guard, but both Eric Bledsoe and Brandon Knight are certainly capable of playing well. The front court was terrible with the Ukrainian Alex Len coming into his own and the venerable Tyson Chandler down low as well.

For now, Oubre seems to have a difficult time finding appropriate minutes in Washington with Otto Porter, Jr. He would have had ample playing time in Phoenix last year and his on-court effort would seem to fit very well with new full-time head coach Earl Watson in the Valley of the Sun.
