2016 NBA Mock Draft: Sixers win the lottery, land Ben Simmons

18. <p>Depending on what happens with Evan Turner in free agency, the Celtics may be looking for some depth at the wing in June’s draft.</p> <p>Despite playing just 12.2 minutes per game for Anadolu Efes this season, Furkan Korkmaz has made his way onto NBA radars after his play with the Turkish youth teams, especially its U19 team last summer when he led the team in scoring. The 18-year old is best known for his outside shooting. He’s made 39.5 percent of his 220 three-point attempts across all competitions for his club teams over the past three seasons. At 6-7, he has a high release point and although his mechanics aren’t perfect, he gets good arc on his shot and has a nice release.</p> <p>He is an impressive athlete and great leaper, skills he showed off while winning the Turkish Basketball Super League’s dunk contest while wearing a Darth Vader mask. The concerns with Korkmaz surround his ability to be more than a spot up shooter and his effort on defense. He’s not a great creator off the dribble at this point, but can get his own buckets when opponents are keyed in on his teammates. Defensively, Korkmaz needs to play with more effort to be a consistent factor, but he is able to use his length to disrupt passing lanes on occasion.</p> <p>Given his shooting ability and its value in the modern NBA, Korkmaz has the chance to be a quality starter at the next level if he can embrace a role on the defensive end.</p> <p><em>To read more about Furkan Korkmaz, <a href=.
