Winner: Philadelphia 76ers

At long last and after “trusting the process” and then abandoning the process, the Philadelphia 76ers have secured the No. 1 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. 76ers fans everywhere rejoiced as their team won the 2016 NBA Draft Lottery and now their chance of landing either Ben Simmons or Brandon Ingram will come to life.

It’s been a tumultuous turn of events to what got the 76ers here, including winning just 10 games last year, but now the 76ers can really start to build with the young talent that they have on their roster.

With the likes of Jahlil Okafor, Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, Dario Saric and now either Simmons or Ingram, the 76ers will have a strong nucleus of players from which to build around. The likely pick seems to be Simmons, but with the amount of size that they have, Ingram could also be the pick.

Also the amount of big men that they have should prompt the 76ers to make a move and trade one of them in a blockbuster deal for either young talent at another position of need like guard or for an established superstar in this league.

With the Colangelo’s at the helm of the roster, this could go either way and they will certainly have the most interesting offseason.
