NFL uniform watch: Ranking of all 32 team’s uniforms
By Randy Gurzi
19. Indianapolis Colts
Points should be given to the Indianapolis Colts for not changing from their original style, but sadly points are deducted because their original style isn’t that good to begin with.
A franchise which started in Baltimore with a simple blue and white look which featured a horseshoe logo kept that same look when they moved to Indianapolis before the 1984 season. The colors are okay, but there is nothing that offsets them. It is a simple plain blue on top of white, with no imagination at all.
The stripes on the sleeves feel a bit awkward, almost as awkward as their former hall of fame passer, Peyton Manning looked while running in one of these uniforms.
The team has recently been a high-powered offense, which has the ability to score quickly. They can be exciting and energetic (well, maybe not this year, but when they are healthy they can be), but not so much in their look.
At least for the 2015 season the look fit them. It feels old and in need of an overhaul. Kind of like a team that features quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, receiver Andre Johnson and running back Frank Gore. All these guys are well passed their prime, just like what they wear on Sunday.
